Love And Miss You Mama And Daddy
|
Dear Mom and Dad,
As I sit here after 40 yrs. with you not being here with me and the rest of your children, at times it seems like only yesterday you were holding me in your arms, rubbing my back and telling me how much you loved me. Thinking of the few short years you and Dad had together, and to bring up nine(9) children. The long hard days on the Farm, milking cows, Harvesting, raising Live Stock to feed our hungry little mouths. There wasen't much entertainment for either Dad or you Mom. As time went by we moved from the Farm, and moved to a small Hamlet where we had a house, it wasen't much to brag about, but it was home. You Dad got a better paying job working building one of several Reservoirs that would later feed water to N.Y.C.. Life still wasen't easy, but one thing we didn't ever starve for was LOVE, you had plenty, and you gave plenty. We were a family brought up on Love, and didn't know what a Dr. was till we were grown up. Our lives were where you could find work Dad. We were a poor family, but not a night went by without a Kiss, and I Love You, Goodnight.
Momma you were taken ill in 1962, with that dreadful word "Cancer". It was an in and out of the Hospital Dad working all day, and heading to the Hospital in the evening. We older ones did the same, our Love being there with you all the time. In September 1964, you went to be with the Lord. It was devestating for us all, as there were six,(6) children left home for Dad. Dad didn't handle your leaving this world as he held your hand at your passing, and Dads life was pretty lonely. He got very little sleep and three months later he went to be with you and the Lord, he had a fatal Heart Attack, but Mom, we all knew it was a "Broken Heart." he didn't want to be without you.
We all miss you so much and "Our Love Won't Ever Die For Either Of You". All the children that were left here, did fine, except we lost Linda in an Automobile Accident..

Dear Lord,
Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head.
God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm and safe from harm
For they're so close to me.
And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do,
Hope you don't mind me asking
Please bless my computer too.
Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.
You see that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends,
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.
I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.>
By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you,
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.
Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love.
Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail inbox
And each person who hits send.
